Welcome to German Online Institute (GOI),

the premier service for learning German online. This agreement ("Agreement") represents the contract between you and German Online Institute (GOI GmbH) regarding the use of our website (the "Site") and services. By accessing, becoming a customer, and/or purchasing German lessons from German Online Institute, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By using the Site and its services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. "Visitor" refers to someone who browses the site, and "Customer" refers to someone who registers with us. The term "you" refers to either a Visitor or a Customer. "We" refers to German Online Institute.

2. Changes to These Terms

German Online Institute reserves the right to modify this Agreement and related policies. Continued use of the site after any changes will be considered as acceptance of the modified terms. If you disagree with the changes, your sole remedy is to stop using the services.

3. Provision of Services

While we do not actively monitor the content exchanged via the platform, we maintain the right to review and remove materials that violate these Terms or are unacceptable at our discretion. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services without prior notice, and these actions are at our sole discretion.

4. Your Rights

You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access and use the content on the Site, provided that you comply with this Agreement. Materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

5. Use of the Service

The service is for personal use only, and you must not transfer your access to others. You agree to use the site for lawful purposes only.

5.1 Private Lessons

• Validity: Lessons/packages are valid for one year. After one year, unused lessons are deleted at our discretion and are non-refundable.

• Teacher Provision: We reserve the right to change your teacher for valid reasons (e.g., availability changes). You can request a different teacher at any time.

5.2 Pricing

• Pay As You Go: €20 per 60-minute lesson

• Package 1 (5h): €19.50 per 60-minute lesson

• Package 2 (10h): €19.00 per 60-minute lesson

• Package 3 (20h): €18.00 per 60-minute lesson

5.3 Group Courses

• Replacement Teachers: We will provide replacement teachers during your instructor's absence (e.g., holidays or illness).

• Teaching Methods: We incorporate all language skills through video calls, shared documents, and interactive tools. Students are expected to participate actively in homework and group activities.

• Certification: Active course participation (at least 80%) is required to receive a CEFR certificate.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All course materials provided are the property of their respective suppliers and are protected by copyright laws. Teachers may add web-based materials to personalize lessons.

7. Access and Interference

You agree not to use automated tools (e.g., robots or crawlers) to access the Site. Additionally, you agree not to post or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful content.

8. Privacy and Security Policy

Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy and Security Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

9. Fees and Payments

By creating a customer account or providing the necessary information via email to admin@germanonlineinstitute.com, you register for lessons, including trial lessons, group courses, or private lessons.

German Online Institute reserves the right to change class package fees or introduce new fees at any time, with reasonable notice given on the website and through email to current customers.

When purchasing lessons, you agree to the following:

Private 1:1 Lessons

  • 60 minutes: €33 per hour

• Package 1 (5 hours):

  • €150 (Save €3/hour)

• Package 2 (10 hours):

  • €290 (Save €4/hour)

• Package 3 (20 hours):

  • €560 (Save €5/hour)

• Package 4 (50 hours):

  • €1350 (Save €6/hour)

Group Courses

Group courses are offered based on the number of participants.

Discounts and Flexibility:

• Save up to €6/hour with larger packages for private lessons.

• No subscription required – pay as you go or save with discounted packages.

• Group pricing includes flexibility based on the number of participants.

Payment Methods

You can purchase lessons directly via credit card through our website or by requesting an invoice if you prefer to pay via bank transfer.

9.1 Private Lessons

• Checking Balance: You can check your lesson balance through the booking confirmation email.

• Refunds: No refunds for unused lessons after the first lesson is completed.

• Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Failure to cancel 24 hours in advance results in a 1-hour lesson charge.

9.2 Group Courses

• Refunds: Refunds are available up to 1 week before the course starts.

• Technical Issues: No refunds will be issued due to technical issues on the customer’s side.

• Cancellations: If a majority of the group or the instructor cannot attend a class due to technical issues, the lesson will be rescheduled.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold German Online Institute harmless from any liabilities, claims, or damages arising from your use of the Site or violation of this Agreement.

11. Miscellaneous

If any part of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force. Failure to enforce any part of this Agreement does not waive German Online Institute's rights. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and German Online Institute.
